Sail Date: Jan 2012

We did back to back sailings on the Crown in January -- the 14th and 21st. We've cruised a lot especially since retirement in late 2009 and mostly with Princess. We've done the Western Caribbean a number of times before and always enjoyed these islands. We were a bit concerned about the Southern Caribbean itinerary, since it was only Aruba and Curacao plus a stop at Princess Cays -- more sea days and the seas can be very rocky between Florida and Aruba. Winds can also be a problem and affect being able to dock in Roatan or use the tenders at Princess Cays. On this trip we missed Roatan because the winds were too strong to dock safely or even tender in. But overall it was a good cruise.

Embarkation

As almost always embarkation was fast and efficient. Our in transit embarkation for the second cruise was even easier. We met at Michelangelo at 10:25, were escorted off the ship and formed a line to present our passports and custom declaration. After a quick document check we were headed back and reboarded the ship in minutes.
