Sailing on the Splendor was my third cruise with the Carnival line. Let me take you through the experience that my wife, three good friends, and my two adult daughters had to endure.

First of all was the embarkation at Long Beach. I have heard many horror stories of the long lines and rude customer service workers, so I was very prepared to deal with the hassle. We arrived at the dock at around 12:00 and the line was looking pretty long. I was very upset because although everyone else in line had paid for their tickets, I wasn't given any special treatment to move ahead of them. I had to wait in that line with these peasants for a whole hour! Yes, that wasn't a typo...a whole hour! When we finally made it up to the counter I was ready to deal with that rude woman with both barrels a'blazin'. Can you believe it, she actually had the nerve to smile and wish us well on our cruise.
