This was our 2nd Disney Cruise Line (DCL) cruise and it was great. We were a little anxious at potential rough seas in the middle of the Atlantic, but we had great weather and it was like a millpond all the way. Disney Magic is a beautiful ship with great facilities, decor and atmosphere. The staff are all great and nothing is too much trouble (I think Norwegian Cruise Line should let DCL train their staff !!!!). One thing we really like is the free room service with such great choices and the drinks area open 24 hours a day which is also free (inc. as much soda as you can drink). FOOD - food was really good and the only restaurant we didn't really enjoy was Parrot Cay. They did really well to keep much a varied good quality menu for 14 days. ACTIVITIES/SHOWS - these catered well for most people. The daytime activities were good and the shows were great. These included cast production shows, a hypnotist, magician and comedians etc. well worth planning to see the shows into your schedule. One evening I joined the adult flubbed making activity - it was great fun and hilarious. STATEROOM - we were in an inside stateroom which was well equipped, comfortable and adequate. It was kept really clean by our excellent stateroom attendant. Our cruise previous to this on DCL in 2000 was in a balcony cabin. It is well worth the extra money for a balcony to get fresh air and natural light. On any cruise line where we've had an inside cabin we've become ill in some way. We're sure this is because of breathing in recirculated air constantly. SERVICE - fantastic all the time !!! SUMMARY - this was a great 'start' to our vacation. The main aim of he voyage was to travel to Florida, Walt Disney World to stay 2 weeks in our DIsney Vacation Club ownership with our extended family (Animal Kingdom Lodge). MAY 2013 - Disney Magic is sailing transatlantic from Galveston Texas to Barcelona. If we can get over from the UK to Galveston ecomonically we will definitely be on that sailing. We're so excited !!
