Sail Date: Jan 2012
Cabin: Aft-Facing Balcony

We sailed on Norwegian Jade on 21st January, very much looking forward to our first NCL experience. We boarded with an open mind, having decided not to compare it to other trips. However we found we couldn't manage this as the service, hospitality and ship left a LOT to be desired. I'm sorry the information given is so long but without it you wouldn't appreciate why we nearly disembarked early and made our own way home !!!

Firstly I'll start with the things that happened to us that we felt a need to feedback to Al Almazan the Guest Services Manager and Alain, the Food & Beverage Director :-

- A group of staff discussing passengers and service. They were talking about giving good service and then going the 'extra mile'. They all agreed "why should we as there is no incentive to do so" (see my further comments about staff later). This epitomises exactly how we felt as passengers -- "why should we serve them well, they're only passengers !!!!"

Cabin Review

Aft-Facing Balcony

Cabin B1

Stateroom 10168 - Very dirty and at night food, rubbish and bits of food are washed onto your balcony when they hose down the upper decks. On a positive note, the beds are comfortable and bathroom / shower is great. It is also in a quiet location quite near the elevators. The downside of being at the very aft facing aft is that you can feel the rocking of the ocean very acutely.
