We booked this cruise as a winter break, our prime aim to escape the gray UK for a week and it certainly 'did what it said on the packet'.

The ship is in lovely condition after her recent refit and the outside decks look very nice with new paintwork and the wood in prime condition. The Cabins have not been updated however and its very difficult to read the news headlines on the TVs. The selection of films on the TV was very limited Singing in the rain and some SciFi. You also have to get out of bed to turn out the main lights and a candle would be more effective than the reading lights.

We ate in the Teppanyaki once but other wise stuck to the usual dining options. The food was generally good, the service ranged from excellent to poor. I do not know why casual dining sometimes means poor standards, eg no crumbing down, table settings looked the same every night.
