Destination: Bahamas
Embarkation: Jacksonville
We arrived at the airport and before we picked up our luggage there was a Carnival attendant with a sign and information on where to go to get a ride to the ship.

Everyone at the terminal was great and very helpful getting us checked in and on board.

Once on board we went to our cabin. We booked a suite for the room. We had requested two twin beds and a pull out couch as we had our 3 children along with us. Much to our surprise we had a large queen bed, a couch that pulled out to a queen and a cot with a large thick mattress. The room was great, private balcony, tv, walk in closet, large bath, shower, plenty of drawer space.

Our room attendant was Mr. P. Our kids loved him. He was always friendly and called each of our children by name. Plus he always had surprises for them when he made the daily towel characters. Every night after supper we came to a clean room with all the beds set up and made neatly. And every morning after breakfast we found the room More cleaned and the beds made and put away and moved out of the way.

We had the dining room "Sensation" it was very nice and the wait staff was very good. They would get you anything you asked for, though they were so busy that you found yourself having to ask for things that a normal wait staff automatically brings, bread, drink refills etc.

They were a fun group, dancing, laughing and always good with the kids. Food was good, not exceptional, but good. The chocolate melting cake is a MUST!!

All in all it was a good trip, kids loved it. They did not do the camp carnival, they had a blast playing in the pool and on the water slides. Food was good, people were great. Sad to come back to the snow. Less

Cabin review: GSU76 Grand Suite

U76 was our suite. Perfect for our size of family. Large bed for the wife and I, pull out couch fit our two daughters, and they brought in a cot with a thick mattress for our son. The cabin porters were great. Made the beds each day and took them apart each morning.

Port and Shore Excursions

Our first port was Key West. Great place to soak up some sun and go shopping. Too the kids to the Key West Aquarium, very nice place, but very over priced. Shopping and dining in Key West is excellent. The stay there was way to short. Especially compared to our stay in other ports on other cruises.

Next stop was the Bahamas. We arrived in Nassau in the early morning and were taken by a small boat to Blue lagoon island. Very nice place. We did the dolphin experience. Kids loved it. Lots of interaction with the dolphins and the trainers couldn't have been nicer. Bought pictures and a dvd of the experience. The small boat that returned us to the island gave us a tour of the stars houses on the island.
