Booked six months in advance and all the emails from DCL built up the anticipation. Booked the onshore excursions Atlantis, Glass bottomed boat and Island explorer at the castaway Cay, but the island explorer cruise was canceled at the eleventh hour due to lack of passengers!!

Stayed at Radissons Resort the previous night and had parking for 5 dollars a day along with a shuttle to and from the the cruise terminal, which was an excellent arrangement.Embarkation was easy with lots of photo ops in the terminal. On entering the ship the huge atrium was gorgeous with the appearance of a grand ball room. Went straight up to the pool deck Cabana for a hot breakfast. If you pack your swimsuits in your carry bag you can go straight to the Aqua duck and have a great time. Beware the welcome Margaritas are 11 dollars each and most people were caught surprised as they thought it was a free welcome drink !!

Our inside stateroom was adequate and clean, with tiny but well laid out tub, toilet and basin !The Virtual porthole was a nice feature as you saw what exactly was outside the ship on a TV screen .Dinner at night was passable, kids choice poor and vegetarian choices also poor. The Animator's palate restaurant too loud and rumbustious for anyone but the stone deaf.Flo's fast food on the pool deck was the best place to have snacks the whole day.The evening shows were decent except the Villains one which scared the wits out of most kids under ten with very loud sound system. The serving crew and other staff who are drawn from fifty nationalities, were friendly and polite most of the time, some from Western Europe were rude and bored. They were acting as if they did not care about any passengers.Lots of photographers snapping away the kids with the Disney Characters.Your photographs bill on the last day can run into thousand dollars if you are not careful.

Cabin Review

Nice two-tier bunk beds along with the usual Queen bed.

Virtual porthole was great.
