Background- My best friend and I (both in mid-thirties) take a "Girl's Trip" every year. So, since the 3 day cruise fit both of our schedules we decided to give the Sky a try. I am a Platinum Member with Carnival and have been a little disenchanted with the clientele and service on my past couple of cruises and have been wanting to try a "freestyle" cruise.

Embarkation- A breeze!! We arrived by taxi at around noon and it took maybe 10 minutes before we were on the ship. Right when we got on board, we grabbed a cocktail, then made reservations at the specialty restaurants. We opted to try all 3 (more on that later). We wore our swim-suits under our clothes and so we just headed straight for the Lido deck. The ship was not crowded yet, so we had no problem finding lounge chairs right by the pool. The rest of the afternoon we lounged in the sun and watched the ship fill up!

Cabin- We had a Balcony State room on Deck 9 Aft. It was on the small side and as mentioned in other reviews, if the sofa bed is down you have to climb over the beds to get from one side of the room to the other. But, we were only in the room to sleep and/or to get ready, so it wasn't a problem for us. Our cabin steward was awesome and called us both by name every time we saw him in the hallway!
