Sail Date: Dec 2011
Cabin: Penthouse with Large Balcony
Traveled with children

We booked a Penthouse with a Balcony (Cabin 10008) for the New Year's cruise on Pride of America. Because I upgraded from a regular stateroom with balcony to a Penthouse with Balcony; we got to sit in the VIP lounge, which consisted of some chairs, a couple of leather chairs and coffee and cream. Nothing fancy. We were introduced to our concierge and our butler as well.

It was worth upgrading because our cabin was huge for the three of us. My husband, I and our 10 year son travelled. We loved that there was so much room for all of our luggage (4 pces) and all of my sundries! The shower was wonderful. The room was great and the balcony was so large.

Our butler, Bhas, was awesome. Always came to our room with a smile. I gave him a generous tip at the end of the cruise; he always came when we called and always showed up with a smile. My husband and I, on one occasion, ordered hot dogs from room service for our son; and went for supper ourselves in the Liberty Dining Room, and felt very comfortable leaving our son in the room for 35 minutes alone.
