A little background.... this was the 2nd cruise both my wife & I have taken. The first was on Celebrity Solstice (E. Caribbean out of Ft Lauderdale). We live in the NYC area, so wanted to try a cruise that didn't require flying. Norwegian's cruise on the Jewel fit our bill, in terms of price & dates.

We book a mini-suite (#11632) and got a pretty good deal via an online travel agent.

Embarkation was pretty straightforward. We arrived at the terminal at 10:30am, were checked-in quickly and then proceeded to wait until 11:30, at which point they let us onto the ship. We went to the buffet for lunch, explored a little bit, then were allowed into our cabins around 1:45.

Directly under Mama's Italian Kitchen... during meal times, can hear some noise from above. Other times, very quiet.
