We booked a mini-suite as the additional cost was minimal for what we received. Basically the cabin was an enlarged balcony room. However, we had a balcony with increased depth which I like because of time spent there. Also we had a tub/shower instead of the small shower stall.

We got an excellent rate probably because the Christmas holidays were recently over and the escape from winter crowd had yet to descend. This cruise was decidedly senior citizen as the teenagers were back to school and I suspect it was too early in the season for the party crowd in their 20s and 30s.
