Sail Date: Dec 2011

This will be my 8th cruise. (Carnival- 2, Princess-1, RC- 1, Holland -1, and Celebrity-3). Some with my family, some with friends and family, some just my wife and I. I've never written a review before so this review might be a little bit too much detail for some readers.

My wife and I were celebrating her 50th birthday and decided to return to the Summitt. We had cruised on the Summitt previously in January, 2010 and had had a great cruise. We particularly loved visiting 5 ports with extended days at each one due to the limited time needed to travel between islands as we cruised out of San Juan.

We are from CT and we took a non stop on Delta out of JFK on Friday arriving at about 1 pm. Contrary to what we did in 2010, we went a day earlier. Not only do you remove any stress of weather related delays, the airport in San Juan was much less crazy. Getting a cab($21 to hotel) was much easier and we were at the Radisson Ambassador by 2 pm. Rate was about $110 through Priceline Nice hotel, nice casino, nice location for walking to restaurants but if you are looking for another day at the beach, not your hotel of choice.
