Carnival Miracle Cruise Review by cruzin4

Trip Details
  • Sail Date: Dec 2011
  • Destination: the Southern Caribbean
  • Cabin Type: Balcony

This is the 3rd Carnival ship we have been on. I found the Miracle to be very elegant compared to the other ships. It was kept very clean. It is going into dry dock very soon and will be updated.

The service was excellent. The waitors, bartenders, stewards, chef, maitre'd, etc. were the nicest we have encountered on any ship. The food was tasty and varied.

We were fortunate enough to do the Chef's table. Unforgettable experience and well worth the fee. We spent four hours eating, drinking, and speaking with the chef who told us all about the food operation on the ship.

We also visited the steakhouse. What a bargain. TERRIFIC.

The Miracle has a nice sized casino, you do not feel cramped in. I found the people at the casino were very nice.

The GYM was too crowded. Too many non-port days and not much to do. My husband and I slept alot and got much needed rest.

Our stateroom was the standard balcony cabin. We were very happy with it. It was kept clean and we were in a very good location.

Cabin Review

Cabin 8D 4183

Close to everything. We could see the islands in the carribbean from a distance.

Port & Shore Excursion Reviews

St. Maarten

Beach is walking distance and it s very easy and cheap to get a cold beer. The water was a nice refreshing temperature and we had a great beach day. We have been on this island on prior cuises and we did not feel the need to venture out.

December is not the best time of the year to experiment in the carribbean because the weather is not the best. We had a great sunny day but it was windy.

St. Lucia

You have to get a tour or taxi. St Lucia has nothing you want to see that is walking distance. We paid $50.00 for a taxi to and from the beach. This is one of those ports you want to get an excursion. Plan ahead and do some research. We found the water very nice and warm. It was a typical nice beach day. Lots of waves though.

Once you walk out of the ship there are many tour operators waiting. Despite the fact it was Christmas Day there were plenty of tours available. We paid $15.00 (US) each and got a full day tour. It was nice because we had never been to ST.Kitts. It is a beautiful island with lots of natural beauty. We didn't stop at the beach because we simply did not feel the need to. We did hear great things about the beaches from other cruisers. I guess we'll try it next time.
