We sailed on the Infinity right before the went into drydock. We were never informed of this before we sailed, and had we known would have cancelled this trip. We originally were booked on Holland America, which had better itinery, but transferred to Celebrity because we had such a good experience on our last cruise with them. This cruise was a total disaster. Deck 12 was closed because they were storing items for refurbishing. The last two days they were doing sanding, and sawdust was all over deck 11 by the doors leading to spa, it got in our hair, plus it was noisy. One day we had to leave our cabin because they came in and worked on the bathroom door to get ready for the makeover. When we got on the ship, and started unpacking, I went to use the restroom. There was toothpaste spit on the sink. I asked the steward why our cabin was so dirty, and he said "I didn't have time to clean it." Why were we not told this before we started using the cabin. Had I not said something, would he even had come in to clean it?? Our bathroom was filthy even after he came in to clean, shower floor tiles so very, very dirty. They were never cleaned, and I finally got a washcloth and cleaned them myself. Shower curtain was moldy on the bottom. We were in a conceriege cabin, and none of the things we were to have had, that were paid for in this price, were there. I had to constantly ask steward for them. The cabin steward would see me in the hall and turn around and walk the other way because he was so irritated with me for asking him for things we should have had, and for asking him to clean the bathroom The last two days of the cruise the Cova Cafe "ran out of quiches". Now everyone knows that when you cruise there is an abundance of food....but no quiches.

The lighting fixture in the ceiling of our cabin were coming out, and one was hanging. No one noticed or seemed to care. I really got the feeling that because it was the last sailing before dry-dock, there was ambivalence about quite a few things.

The beef at dinner was not the same standard as the cruise we took in April. Pasta dishes were overcooked, and when I sent it back, the cook came to talk to me and made me feel awful for complaining. I thought that the food was the same on all Celebrity cruises, across the board. I know for a fact that the food in the buffet was NOT the same, and we had the same offerings every day.
