We went on a 7 night Southern Caribbean cruise at the end of November to early December, 2011 with the Royal Caribbeans on the Serenade of the Seas. We flew from a small city from a Western Canadian Province to Toronto, then en routed to San Juan. We landed in San Juan close to 4 pm. A transfer was pre-arranged at the time of our booking.

The registration process was somewhat efficient. The line up wasn't that long (15 minutes max) considering the fact that it was a late afternoon arriving when boarding the ship. We ordered luggage tags online and was supposed to mail out to us before we left home. The tags did not arrive until the day prior of our trip. We happened to miss them because we took an extra day to spend in Toronto prior flying down to San Juan.

As we entered the ship, it seems to be much smaller than we have originally thought. We found it difficult to get around the ship at first. The deck plan directories on the ship were that helpful in getting around. It took us about a day to figure out most of the areas were located on the ship.
