My wife and I along with our son have cruised many times. Carnival's Paradise, RCL's Grandeur and Explorer and Princess' Grand Princess. This time we went alone. What an amazing time...

Embarkation

We arrived at the port at 11:30. Having booked a Penthouse suite and unbeknownst to me, perks come with this room. We were greeted by our concierge Ryan. We were then escorted on the ship by NCL staff right to Cagney's steakhouse for lunch in less than 30 minutes. Now I knew about the butler/concierge service that comes with this room. But I never expected to be escorted on to the ship. I always book some sort of suite when cruising and this was a first for me. The perks didn't stop there. I was informed later that all suite guests could dine in Cagney's for breakfast or lunch the entire cruise. Having experienced the Cafe's on many cruise lines; this was a nice surprise. No lines, no noise, and great service. They seat you and a waiter comes over and takes your order. We ate here the entire week. And no, there was no charge for this.
