Sail Date: Dec 2011
Cabin: Deluxe Oceanview Stateroom with Balcony

We (Deb and Jack from Massachusetts) cruised to the eastern Caribbean on December 10, 2011. This was an 8 day cruise out of Ft. Lauderdale. Our cruise experience has been with Royal Caribbean (7), Celebrity (2), Norwegian (2), and Carnival (1). This was our second time on Navigator of the Seas.

Since we had already had the experience of a cabin with a balcony, it was a 'must' for us again. The Navigator of the Seas is a very nice ship, but it still seemed to look a bit 'worn' to me. The ship always seemed crowded. Unusual amounts of time to wait for elevators. Skip to "comments" section at the end of this review to find out if we would sail on this ship again.

Pre-night in Fort Lauderdale: We stayed at the Holiday Inn-Airport in Hollywood. Free shuttle to the Port Everglades and I would highly recommend this clean, comfortable, affordable hotel. They have a free shuttle from airport to hotel also.

Cabin Review

Deluxe Oceanview Stateroom with Balcony

Cabin E1

Cabin 8616 was a balcony cabin just like all the other Royal Caribbean Voyager class ships, except that we had a "hump" location which allowed for a bit more balcony space and a great location on the ship. The bed was comfortable enough. Sliding doors are great for listening to ocean waves. One annoyance was that water from the shower kept getting on the floor due to a gap when the shower doors closed. Another inconvenience occurred when the toilet decided to have a mind of its own as to when it flushed. We had to call maintenance on night. Water pressure was great in the shower, but aim shower head toward wall if you don't want a lot of water on bathroom floor.
