After cruising Thanksgiving week with another couple that are younger than us about 50 years old, we found that the ship lacked the luster that we expectd from this line. The cabins, although we had the highest grade of balcony (before a suite) was worn. Bathrooms looked a bit chipped, some rust of exposed plumbing. They no longer provide complimentary toiletries at all or even a chocolate on your pillow. We had been on the Celebrity Solstice a year before and though the food was about the same on both, Navigator needs some sprucing up. A few weeks in dry dock, re doing the cabins and the balconies which had worn and dirty indoor/outdoor carpet made it hardly a relaxing upgrade.
The food was less than average and we found the service fine. We had a nice waiter, Bovino, but it was slow. The hallways were filled with electric scooters every night and it was hard to get past to get to your cabin. Seemed like a fire hazard to me.
A ship board credit was sent to me a a birthday gift ( celebrated on board). It never came and RCI charged the giver. They had to fight to get their money back.
