About us: My husband and I are in our 40s and have been on a total of seven cruises now. This is our third time on RCI. We have been on Celebrity three times and Norwegian once.

The Ship: Grandeur is showing some signs of age -- carpet and furnishings in cabin looking a little worn. Public areas looked much better. As far as the famous "odor," I never smelled it and never heard anyone else complain about it.

The Ports: We went to Key West, Cozumel and Costa Maya. Many people were upset about the itinerary change from Grand Cayman to Key West. The first day out at sea was chillier than I expected and Key West was not very warm either but we were able to get in some time at the beach. Went to Fort Zachary Taylor -- there are facilities and beach chairs for rent. We had to be back on the ship by 2:00 so not much time for shopping in town. The next port was Cozumel. The weather was finally hot and sunny. We took a cab to Chankanaab Park for beach and snorkeling. Chairs are free. You can rent equipment and snorkel right from the beach. This is also where the Dolphin Encounter is located so we were able to watch some of that. There is bar service on the beach and a couple of restaurants to get lunch. The ship stayed late in Cozumel because they had Carnival going on, parades, fireworks, etc. Costa Maya -- There is not much there other than the area by the pier built for cruise ship passengers. We took a snorkel excursion through RCI. Had a very good guide who pointed out a lot of interesting things. After that two more days at sea. The second day was very cold and windy so the Solarium was crowded
