We also wanted to experience another Princess ship. We are a couple 65 yrs old and love cruising.
We flew into Fort Lauderdale the morning of the cruise and arrived at the port around 11:30. Once embarkation began, lines moved quickly and we were aboard by 12:30. I liked the lay out of our cabin. There was plenty of storage and we could move about easily. Did some unpacking and went to the Horizon Court for lunch. The wait staff was very attentive and brought beverages to everyone throughout the cruise.
We found the staff of the ship to be very pleasant and accommodating. We had early 5:30 dining in the DaVinci Dining Room. We were assigned to a table for 6 but there were only 4 of us. The location had a constant cold draft. After 3 days we asked to be moved and the maitre-de relocated us to another table for 6 by the window which was very comfortable. Most nights I could find something that I liked. The food was well prepared. I frequently had breakfast at the international cafe(loved the yogurt parfaits). Had lunch either at the international cafe of the dining room. Once tried th pub lunch at the wheel house. They had a terrific bread pudding.
Good room layout. Storage separate from sleeping area. Tiny bathroom.
