Let me start off by saying that this is my first written review of any of the cruises that I have been on with this being my 8th cruise (7 with carnival).

With that in mind I want to give you all both sides, good and bad, of our trip.

The port of Long Beach is beautiful and I wish we could've spent some time in Long Beach before or after our cruise. The queen mary is right next door and provides a place to stay the night before. We spoke to a couple who stayed there and said it was nice but not worth the 230.00 per night. I have read horror stories about embarkation on this particular ship. We got there at 11:30am and were on the ship by 1pm. That is because my mother-in-law has a pacemaker and we were allowed on after the vip's. With that being said, we were supposed to be in group 5 and that group was on the ship within a half hour of us getting on. So not terrible as everyone else has said. I thought it was pretty organized compared to other ships I have been on.
