We sailed the Jewel December 2010 and again in November this year. Getting on the ship is amazing, no problems and it was the easiest I have seen. One thing I have noticed is the employees on NCL seem the happiest, maybe it's the way NCL treats them but they seemed happy to be working for NCL.

While the itinerary was no big thing, been to the Bahamas many many times. I do love the being on the ship. We purchased the spa package, the price went up to $119.00 per week instead of the $99.00. This is well worth the price and we used it every day. The food on the ship, we enjoyed the morning and afternoon buffet there is plenty of choices. We did do the specialty restaurants, and only twice did you use the Main dining rooms. I think if we were not celebrating my birthday and anniversary, we would have used the main dining rooms more. The ship is in good condition and someone is always working on the ship cleaning. I loved where our cabin is 10142 (handicapped) only wish there was a bit more lighting. I love the anytime dining, and it worked out well, never saw lines in any of the restaurants.

We didnt get off the ship in Florida, was hoping more people did but maybe NCL may want to change the stop to another, honestly if you don't do the theme parks, not much more to do. We used the Colonial Hilton in the Bahamas, booked this privately and we love it there. Pricing for the day is $50.00 p.p. and you get to use their beautiful hotel, pool and beach and $30.00 p.p. for food or beverage......a great deal and you can walk there fromt he ship. I do enjoy the private island, so much as changed in such a short time constant improvements, NCL is doing a great job with the place.
