Everything about boarding was fast, easy and friendly. I always like to arrive before they suggest and it always works for me. We went to our staterooms which were all prepared and clean as a whistle, but looked much older than the 12 year age of the ship; Millennium goes in for a refit in 4 months and no changes are planned for the staterooms except bedding and mattresses - I was amazed! I met our 2 stewards (Lewis and Suhermil) who turned out to be among the best we have ever had!!!! They were always there, always willing, and as pleasant as anyone could be. The bubbly, snacks and fruit on the veranda were a great way to sit on our huge outdoor space and relax while the world around us was probably buzzing.

We went to the only open food on the ship, the buffet, and while everything was fresh, it was very disappointing and much more limited than on lesser cruise lines. Oh well, the first day!!! At dinner in Select Dining, we had an amazing Assistant Maitre 'd named Allen - he was wonderful the entire cruise!!!! Our server was efficient but not too friendly. The food was very very disappointing from the first evening to the last... Crab Louis was coated in something looking like Russian dressing and sitting on a couple of tired looking lettuce leaves - the presentation was awful; once I scraped away the "stuff" on top, the crab was quite good, but ruined by everything else on the plate. Three nights at dinner, different beef dishes were ordered at our table - the meat was always cooked just exactly as requested but each and every entree was too tough to enjoy, even after requesting a replacement. What a real shame! Each of the seafood selections were just barely OK, not Celebrity standard at all. The sommeliers were disorganized and although we had the same servers each evening, we never had the same sommelier which was most disappointing! Breakfast in Metropolitan was chaotic as well. We were probably asked 10+ times each day if we wanted anything from the pastry tray; coffee was far too weak at some meals and nicely strong on a few occasions, but no consistency. And no gourmet coffee at all and any meal, only at the coffee bar. The ice cream bar was wonderful as always and many great homemade flavours each day, but the freezer must not have been working well as the ice cream was always much too soft.

Entertainment was fairly good, and the crew talent show are outstanding!!! A couple of those performers would put pros to shame.

Cabin Review

Cabin CC

7206 - awesome veranda, rear facing so it was never too windy and it is HUGE...

3033,3037 - worn out appearance of the cabins and closet doors are a disaster to open while trying to use the bathroom at same time. Those terrible closet hangers, that are in most cruise ships, frustrate me! Can't guests be trusted to not steal hangers? Or charge them if they do...
