The Allure was so disappointing! The problems starting after we booked the cruise 2 months in advance. We talked to others that booked 7 months in advance and had the same problems...We had to reserve all our shows and most were booked. When we got on the cruise we had to wait in long lines for "stand by" for the shows. The ports were horrible! We were told that the boardwalk balcony would be quite once we closed our cabin door...not true. The load noise went on until about midnight, so we could never get good sleep. You will have zero privacy on your balcony and can easily see into other stat rooms. The sheets in the room were rough, the pillows were hard, the bed had a foam top which made you overheat and uncomfortable. We didn't get one good night sleep.

We could not get early seating but they offered "My Time Dining", which you are forced to pay all your tips in advance. The entire 5th floor was for "My Time Dining" which made no sense...they could have opened that up for the early seating. Even if you have reservations you still may have to wait for a table sometimes up to an hour. We spent more time waiting in line for everything (dinner, shows, all meals, water activities, chairs for lounging, making reservations for shows and dinner etc. then actually enjoying ourselves.

The food was such a disappointment, breakfast and lunch was terrible (compared to carnival), they didn't even have a person to make fresh egg omelete in the casual dining area, you must go to the main dining and waste at least an hour for breakfast which actually made the eggs from a carton. If you wanted better food at the specialty restaurants for dinner the average price was $30 - $40 per person. Most casual food options closed early so in the evening you will pay extra for food if your hungry. The included food during the day in the nicer spots were very limited and on the board walk you could get hot dogs and pizza, the cheap food. The adult area had one pool the size of a large hot tub. You become a part of a herd on this ship and room is limited on the decking areas. The excursions were so overpriced it was insane. You even had to pay extra to use the sauna in the spa area, which I've never heard of on any ship until now. Our ship also had a lot of sick people on it which was really a big concern. This was are 11th cruise and our last. Cruising is not what it used to be and continues to offer less and less for you. Not a good value at all!
