This was our fourth Disney cruise, and second on the Dream. Myself, DW and two DS. We are easy to please and tend to go with the flow. Not much bothers us, especially on a cruise. We are DCL fans but for the benefit of the readers on this website, I will be as objective as possible.
Embarkation: Very easy and a breeze for the most part. The only hang-up is registering your children for the clubs. The lines are long and they usually don't start processing children until around 1130 or so. You can also register them on the ship at the clubs, (Deck 5 mid). Parents can also tour the clubs when they board. Overall the process is pretty seamless.
The ship: She is a beauty!! Nothing flashy, no neon, just simple elegance. The ship is easy to navigate and there are areas onboard that are for people 18yrs of age and over. Nice and quiet. We did not utilize these areas this time as we were busy with other activities. The elevators can become busy at times so be fore-warned. The Aquaduck is popular but the longest we had to wait was around 15 minutes. We had second seating for dinner and so we rode it around 6pm and didn't wait at all. Late at night is a good time also as it's open until midnight. Be advised though, we went in December so it was kinda chilly when we got out. The ship was decorated for Christmas and, if you get the chance, it's a must see. Disney really goes all out for the holidays and it shows in how the decorate the ship. Absoulutely gorgeous.
Great cabin except the view was obstructed by a cleaning mobile that was stationed just to the aft of our room. Also, there was an overhang from the deck above that didnt allow us to look up at the stars, etc. Otherwise, now complaints about the room what so ever.
