First let me tell anyone who is going on a Princess cruise to print out the page that shows your on board credit. This is not a page that is required but I was not the only person who's on board credit magically disappeared when I boarded. If I had the page I could have had proof. After talking to 3 people including the Captain Circle rep I was told I could take it up after my cruise. Did they think this was my first cruise? Everything disappears from your account after you take the cruise.
As for the cruise itself, a caribbean cruise is just fun. There is a lot of noise, partying and sun. Because this cruise originates from San Juan there are a lot of Spanish speaking people on board and they are catered to with seperate venues for music and shows. This gives you a different variety of entertainment than usual.
Most of the stops were the usual but a few were noteworthy. Bonaire is a clean, neat island ruled by the Dutch. It felt foreign and nice as a departure from the usual Caribbean port. There were no people hanging all over you to buy things. There was a market spot set up and it was well run and you could browse or avoid it as you pleased. A great snorkeling and diving spot.
We had room A705. We have been on Princess before and knew how small the bathroom especially the shower is but I accept that what I did not like was the dirt. It was not cleaned every day and the housecoats they gave you were stained and thin. We were right by the elevator but except for a few loud people it was usually fine. You just need to be aware that Princess has smaller room than most other lines.
