Our 5th Anniversary/Valentine's Day Cruise

My husband and I had a wonderful time. Everyone, both staff & guests, were super friendly. The entertainment, especially the midnight R-rated comedy, was fantastic. Our servers made us feel like royalty and our cabin steward kept the room tidy and full of clean, fresh-smelling towels. The food, though not the finest cuisine, was plentiful and tasty. The long lines on the Lido deck forced us to eat in the (Paris) dining room....Now don't you just feel so sorry for us? Yes, through all this "suffering," we both managed to put on a few pounds!

The ports, for the most part, were quite similar to one another. Puerto Rico, with an evening arrival was a waste of time. We paid for a City Tour/Shopping trip but saw little, other than traffic jams and closed shops....At $37 PP, it was a total rip-off! The city tour of St. Thomas was lovely and well-worth $35 PP....The tour guide most pleasant and the island quite beautiful....Best shopping of all the ports. St. Maarten/Martin, on the other hand, is rather shabby but shopping bargains can be found on the Dutch side (Front St.)....Don't bother traveling to the French side, it is seedy and the people/vendors are very pushy and crude....The "outdoor market" is nothing more than a sleazy flea market and the goods (same stuff found in St. Thomas with a different name), were higher priced than either the Dutch side or St. Thomas.
