Food is not up to par of other cruise lines. Main dining service and food quality were the biggest disappointments of the entire cruise, and were way below my expectations. I ate much better at other cruises I have taken. The dining menu is impressive, but the execution is very poor. Does anybody tastes the food before it is served to people? One time I even asked to talk to the chef, but he never showed up. He was probably ashamed for his own creations. On the very first day my pasta was supper al dente. It was basically undercooked. Alligator appetizer had no alligator meat in it, and stuffed mushrooms had very little mushrooms. These are just a few examples. One guest from the neighboring table suggested ordering a few extra dishes from the menu and picking the one that is eatable. It was very good suggestion.

Water at the main dining room smelled very funky. Was it done on purpose, so people would order supper expensive bottled water instead?

I changed my dining time to anytime dining. I was told that sometimes I have to wait a little and I was ok with it. However, "sometimes" doesn't meen every day, and "a little" doesn't mean 40 minutes to an 1.5 hour. For a few days we ended up eating at the buffet because of that. On Wednesday, the 23rd I complained to the supervisor and he said he would do me a "favor" and give me an immediate seating on the 3rd floor. On the next day he said it was only a favor and I should not ask for it every day. However, I told him that he did his job that day and it was not a favor. Some people don't mind waiting for 1.5 hours and some do. Everybody is different. I have two kids and they could not wait that long. When I complained to guest services, nothing was done. They just said they would look into it.
