Background Information: Nine folks in 3 cabins: a two-person Deck 7 balcony; a three-person Deck 7 balcony and myself, wife & two teens taking one for the team across the hall in a 4E inside. Expectation was for a quality but "Wal-Mart" level cruise and that is exactly what we got. Very nice short cruise.

Ship Info: Carnival Destiny really is a good ship, despite what so many others seem to say on the boards. There is generally something to do when you want to do something, despite what so many say on the boards. Ship is well cared for and constantly under maintenance, could pass for a 8-10 year old rather than the 15 year it she is. Fun, food, friends is what you should want. High-end luxury and highly "classy" activities and pople...not so much.
7110 was a great surprise. We love the space on carnival when we do mom,. dad and two older kids. We usually do outside or balcony and have never done inside with the kids. The forward, corner location was a good ride and very quiet. The "secret door" to the outer deck below the bridge/over the bow was right there. Being deck 7, with the suites down the hall, meant the crew and the maintenance were the best on the ship so that worked well for us. Sure there were a few little issues like a bad light and a dead battery on the safe lock but that is to be expected, it is a busy and not new ship. The four berth cabins are very hard to get on Destint but the flexibility and space of the room is a huge plus. I would not hesitate to do inside again if it was up high, ideally near the suites.
