This was our tenth cruise overall, our seventh on Celebrity. It was the third time we embarked from Cape Liberty.

EMBARKATION/DEBARKATION -- We arrived by car shortly before 11:00AM and we began touring the ship by 11:30AM! The process could not have run more smoothly. At debarkation we were instructed to go to the theater at 0815. Our number was called approximately 0830 and we were off the ship and through customs by 0900. (Hint-- we avoided the crowds by using the stairs instead of the elevators. We heard others saying it was a nightmare getting off the ship, but we had no problem).

THE SHIP (Public areas) -- The Silhouette is beautiful! Everything is clean, fresh and still smells new. The public areas are well decorated, easily accessible and other than the pool area, we never felt over crowded. There is a venue for everyone's interests. The alcoves on the lawn appeared to be a waste of valuable space. We only saw one being used on one day of the cruise and everyone we spoke to stated they thought the price to use them ($149pp, per day) was ridiculous. It appeared to us that most people were reluctant to even walk on the grass. Celebrity would be wise to remove the grass and replace it with beach sand. They could put in some beach chairs, lower the cost of the alcoves and they would end up with a fun area where people would spend time and money all day. (Just saying).

Cabin Review

Deluxe Veranda 2A

Cabin 2A

Good location between the two elevators and near the coffee at the Hideaway. Good view from the starboard side. Like all other rooms it lacks sufficient convenient storage space for those "traveling heavy".
