We're 1st time cruisers, so we chose Celebrity Equinox based on positive reviews from cruisecritic. We traveled from North Carolina to Fiumicino, then to Civitavecchia, where we stayed at Hotel Miremare, a perfect place to stay enroute to the ship. It was within walking distance to the shuttle bus, and soon we were shipside, being ushered onboard quickly due to the fact we had reserved an Aquaclass cabin.Embarkation was a smooth breeze. Westayed in stateroom 1587, with a perfect view. Our dining was assigned to the Blu restaurant, being an Aquaclass stateroom.
The staff was perfect in every way. Polite, cheerful, helpful, courteous, and always smiling, we rate them 5 stars on performance, attending to all our needs. Our stateroom steward was always close, always asking how we were, if we needed anything.
The stateroom, Aquaclass, rates 5 stars. Fresh fruit bowl every day, champagne upon our arrival, flavored teas(which were very good) stocked minibar/refrigerator, plenty of electric plugs, the hairdryer worked well... thick bathrobes, wonderful shower, nice bathroom, plenty of room. The view was spectacular, the deck chairs comfortable, and it was nice to sleep to the sound of the ocean so close. There was plenty of room for luggage, very nice bed, the room was cleaned several times a day, with bed turndown and a mint on the pillow every night, some really nice details.Th flatscreen was good and we enjoyed the live webcam of the ship on it. Every need was attended to with this stateroom. And lastly, the stateroom was easy to locate, just a few steps away from the elevators.
Great location, close to elevators, lots of room, great bed, good bath, great shower, nice balcony, comfortable chairs, good TV, nice seating, minibar good , excellent cabin
