Just returned from Orianas cruise to the eastern med before its refit,having read some of the reviews from previous cruisers we find it hard to believe what some people want from a cruise,yes we had issues with the (plumbing)after two days but this was rectified straight away,I used the gym every day and there was one treadmill out of use,the rest of the facilities ie Jacuzzis steam room and sauna were excellent.

We had an upgrade to an outside cabin with a bath which we did not know about until arrival at southampton,having used P&O several times no problems with the check in etc,very efficient,(have cruised with royal caribbean not as efficient)food in the oriental resturant and the conservatory excellent,(also the staff ditto),the entertainment staff were very good,must mention Jo B,she should enter britains got talent,(and would probably win it)the headliners were excellent in all their shows and the guest entertainers were very good,( I must mention that we only go to the theatre on cruises),the on board guest speakers were good and the usual competitions etc throughout the sea days were well worth attending,(although we did not win any),the ports we visited were good(although we would not miss La Goulette again),the tours we went on had very knowledgeable tour guides and were well worth the money.

Overall Oriana was our first cruise 10 years ago(we have now been on her 6 times) and although having cruised with other companies it is still our favourite ship,Azura comes close,looking forward to April 2012 when hopefully we are going to venice again,regarding some of the comments about the ships condition we are amazed how well it has stood the test of time from our first ever cruise.
