I'm going to start with the pitfalls. NCL Spirit is an older ship so the cabins were not sound proofed like in their newer ships. We were kept awake by people who spoke outside our cabin late at night. Our cabin was located close to an elevator so we probably got more than our fair share of traffic walking past our cabin. I think that NCL needs to realize that not everyone who cruises are night owls who want to party to the wee hours of the morning. They should have signage reminding people to be quiet after 11pm when walking down the hallways of the older ships. This can also be reminded over the PA system or after the shows.

My second gripe was the super slow Internet connection. We paid big bucks for Internet access on the ship but the connection was painfully slow. If NCL is going to charge .70 cents per minute, they need to make sure that we are not being charged for waiting 5 minutes for a page to load.

For reasons unknown, we were always given terrible tables in the main dining rooms even when there were plenty of very nice open tables. We were shown to tables by service entrances or made to sit behind a door that was being used by the waiters to get tray tables out every few minutes. Maybe it was because we had a child with us, but that is discrimination. Our 7 year old was better behaved than some of the guests who dined at Windows - yeah, they were drunk.

Cabin Review

We were in a large inside stateroom (deck 10) near the elevator. The hallway was far too noisy. Cabin was located close to the elevators.
