This was our third cruise, and second on Carnival.

Cruise began a day late due to storm related delays as the ship was coming from the Bahamas. Carnival only reduces the price by 1/7 with no allowance for the hotel, meals, rental car, and other expenses incurred for the extra day at the port city.

The crew was obviously stressed and fatigued by the previous bad weather and this continued with a very rough ride to Bermuda. The AC was broken in our room and it was too nasty outside (40 mph winds) to have the balcony door open. Somehow a heavy dose of cigarette odor was also being pumped into our cabin and hallway - likely due to some type of ventilation issue. Luckily after a day and a half our very friendly room stewardess was able to get maintenance to repair the AC and the odor was gone also. Read more
