We sailed on the Destiny November 5 to November 10, 2011. This was our fourth time on the ship, four years in a row. While this might not have been my first choice of a ship, my decision was only based on the fact that we were part of a group cruise - the Rick Springfield cruise.

While we did not take advantage of any of the Carnival activities, so I cannot comment on those, I can tell you my observations and experiences about the non-Rick Springfield related activities.

Embarkation went very smoothly. We were through security and on the ship within a hour. We arrived at the ship quite early - at 11am. We were immediately greeted by extremely helpful Carnival staff. We headed up to the Lido deck for lunch. The lines were not long and the food was hot, plentiful and tasty.

Air conditioning did not work. Too close to elevators. Very noisy.
