I had read so many reviews about the Fascination...and some of them worried me. If you have read some of those reviews...please do not let them sway your decision to sail on the Fascination. It was a lovely ship and the crew was fantastic.

We booked this cruise simply to go away for the weekend. We live only 45 minutes from Port Jacksonville. Our embarkation seemed to go very smoothly, everything was in order and within no time we had our sign and sail cards...and were on the Lido deck having a light lunch. I had talked to a wonderful lady from Ohio here on Cruise Critic and we met up with them right away. They were sailing with another couple and we all became instant friends and had a wonderful time together for the next 4 days!!

We did find out once we were on the ship that we would not be able to leave Port Jacksonville on time because of high tide. Due to the high tide, the ship cannot fit under the Dames Point Bridge. One thing I don't understand is why Carnival does not know this ahead of time. It really didn't bother us though...hey we were on the ship and enjoying getting to know some new found friends..I very quickly had a Miami Vice in my hand and loving it!!

Cabin 4C

Our Cabin was M68. It was an inside cabin and was actually very comfortable. NO noise at all...never heard any in the hallway or anywhere. Very comfortable bed..great room steward service!!
