I have travelled and holidayed in several places around the world but i have never had the urge to look back at the end of it and said goodbye and thankyou to a hotel before. When i left the Thompson Spirit, I just felt i had to say goodbye and thank you. As far as the negative reviews are concerned well we read through the reviews before booking and decided to make our own minds up. Its quite clear from some of the reviews and seeing the odd consistant ignorant complaiers on the ship that these are the type of people who think the world owes them everything, nothings ever good enough and they are above everybody else. I would accept that there are occasions when things go wrong but some people you can never please.Only saw about 5 children on the ship so the pools and everywhere else was always peaceful, not that we have anything against kids !

Anyway what a pleasant and relaxing experiance. Yes the ship is getting on abit and looking tired in places but it was very well looked after and spotlessly clean. The staff are relentless in their motivation and friendliness working so hard for you without any expectaion of tips etc (we did tip at the end but you don't have to as it is all in at the begining, we just thought it was well warranted) Cabins had loads of room and were comfortable not that we spent much time in it. We had an outside cabin that every time you returned to was made up immaculately with fresh towels, little chocolates on the pillows and turned over duvets on a night

entertainent was good, food was good and never ending but you did have to queue for a few minutes to get into the service restaurant. and the itineray was brillinat although some of the additional trips at the ports of call were certainly expensive. Sometimes it was quite busy on the decks and finding a sun bed was a bit difficult but we always got one. Nothing better than standing out on the decks at night in the middle of the ocean with a glass of wine surrounded by nothing but stars. Would we go again ? absolutely yes, would i go with Thompson again, yes although when you see the size of some of the other cruise ships in comparison don,t expect the world.
