We chose the Norwegian Epic at the end of her Mediterranean season for a reason. We thought the ship which holds 4100 guests would be less crowded, we thought the weather would be cool, and we wanted to experience free-style cruising on NCL's newest ship.

We were spot on with our choice, and many features of the ship suited us. That said, I am not sure I would pick the same ship again, just because I would like to experience another ship.

That said, the highlights of our trip wete the shore excursions, which we thought were both excellent and good value. We booked 3 excursions through NCL and they were quite different. Two were prebooked, and we booked one on board.

Cabin Review

Great bed, lots of space and pillows. Basin too small for shaving. Shower was big, lots of hot water. Toilet a bit cramped. Bathroom products eg shampoo etc. very poor and cheap, and strong and smelling like antiseptic.

Cabin was 9160. No noise, couldn't feel the motion of the ship.
