Dawn Princess Cruise Review by alnad1947
- Sail Date: October 2011
- Destination: South Pacific
- Cabin Type: Balcony
We embarked in Sydney on 5th October for a 14 night Pacific Island cruise.
Embarking wasn't very good experience. Very bad organized. We arrived in time shown in our tickets, spend in a queue 1/2 an hour before staff tell us (and to many others) we are in a wrong place.
It takes one and a half hour before we get into the ship. The registration, Immigration and customs takes just few minutes.
One of our cases wasn't deliver to our room and after few requests I had to go to reception desk myself to find out where it is.
After 1st experience with Royal Caribbean cruise we expected good quality entertainment.
The ship's orchestra and dancers were excellent, but we didn't have good entertainment every evening.
One evening show was replaced by movie.
We don't have to cruse to see another musicians and comedians. We can see them in Sydney RSL clubs.
Live music in the evenings was also not as good as it could have been, boring with quite unattractive repertoire and low standard of performers.
Not too many people braved the dance floor. Steam room was out of order for 14 days.
Room steward was nice and helpful. All food (in all outlets) was tasty and superb.
Disembarkation in Sydney went very smoothly
