My new husband and I chose this cruise for our honeymoon because it went to places neither of us had been before. Previously, he sailed Carnival and I sailed Discovery... something I won, I'm not entirely sure it's even a real cruise line. My first cruise was more like a ferry ride to the Bahamas, so this one was very refreshing considering I vowed to never cruise again after the first one.
We got to the port around 11:30 and were on the ship by noon, possibly earlier! The decor, although a bit outdated, is immaculate. I didn't even realize I had stepped onto a boat when I walked into the lobby. The balcony room we had was a lot larger than I expected, with several closets and a small couch. I think we were in there with our bags by 1:30. And the balcony... yeah... never another cruise without having one!
The breakfast buffet was not good... at all. I tried it almost every morning and it never changed. One morning there was a cheesy chickeny thingy that was pretty good, but otherwise I would always get a bagel. Sadly, I lived by the theory that bagels wouldn't fail me and on the last day I nearly broke a tooth on one. Oh well. And the coffee gave my husband the shakes the one time he drank it, and he ended up getting sick and not enjoying his morning much at all.
