Having just returned from the Silver Whisper Cruise to Canada and New England, I have to express my disappointment in the experience. Although this cruise is billed as a 6 star luxury cruise, I feel I must disagree with some aspects of this billing.

Most of the cruise staff were indeed 6 star,(butler and cabin cleaner) however, some waiter staff were not. Fish served in the restaurants was not fresh on occasion and in general food choices were limited in comparison to other cruise lines we have travelled with. We expected cabins would be luxurious, but again in comparison with other cruise lines accommodation, it was on a par with 5 star. No fresh fruit or flowers were in our cabin on arrival although a cheap bottle of champagne was.

Smoking was permitted in the bar area which was very uncomfortable for non smokers and out of line with British no smoking policy in bars.

Cabin Review

The Verandah suite, was comfortable, very clean and tastefully decorated. The verandah, however, was very small. The Closet was spacious.
