First time sailing on a Disney ship and experienced pros and cons. Pros - very clean (especially given the fact that many children were on board) organized staff, excellent size balcony cabin (had our 23 yr old son with us and stateroom even afforded some privacy for all of us) with an excellent bathroom set-up. Separate toilet area from shower area so someone could be using shower and someone else could be using toilet at the same time. Particularly helpful when dressing for the evening dinner.
Cons - were told at Palo's our sons dressy jeans were not allowed in the restaurant and he was given a complimentary pair of dress pants to wear. His jeans were what I would describe as dressy jeans - not slouchy jeans with holes or even blue jeans. It was difficult to tell he had "jeans" on at all. Very embarrassing for him as we were there with friends and he had dressed very nicely with dress shoes. After this incident with the Maitre d we saw people coming in with beach sandals on!!! Felt they were inconsistent with dress code. Food did not warrant this restriction. Have been on 27 cruises and eaten in many many specialty restaurants and this one did not stack up with Princess, RCCL and Celebrity with variety of food offered, quality of food and even service. Not worth the extra fee for dining there. Filet Mignon served here was the same as Filet Mignon served at Royal Palace the next night.
On first day my husband ordered a "bucket" of beer and was told it would be delivered to the room - well it was - 7 hours later at 9pm! This sort of took away the partying atmosphere as he wanted to drink more beer sooner than 7 hours later - we should have been told it would be that long for delivery and we would have just taken beer to our stateroom ourselves!! All in all nice cruise but for the additional cruise fare we were expecting more - back to Celebrity!!
Great cabin - very roomy and loved the bathroom set-up
