We drove from New Jersey to port the morning of sailing, arrived at 10:30am, paid for parking ($75 for 5 days). We were checked in by 11:00am and on board by 11:30. The staff at the Port of Baltimore were efficient and courteous.

Upon entering the ship we were impressed, Enchantment is a beautiful ship, bright and clean. Particularly worth mentioning was The Centrum, several stories high and there were many windows so you could see the ocean or port from nearly everywhere. Many ships we have been on have some windows so you could get a view if you looked for it but in the Centrum this ship was fully glass. The crew was very friendly and always present. We never felt over crowded either, plenty of places to sit and relax or eat. Even deck chairs were plentiful, didn't notice a lot of chair saving which tends to be a problem on many ships. The captain spoke regularly and we were able to meet him and other officers at the cocktail party. Cruise Director, John Blair, not very present but it was refreshing because he was a singer, so we were not subjected to the same jokes you hear on every voyage. He was on stage at the beginning of all the shows and showed up at scheduled events but we never saw him walking around the ship. His wife was the director of activities so they were together a lot.

We booked an interior cabin, 7171, last minute. We have never had an interior before, we generally have a balcony which gives much needed extra space. The cabin was small, very small, but we managed fine. There was plenty of storage, the bathroom was tiny, shower curtain rather than doors which was annoying. Flat screen TV but nothing to watch really. There were decent movies to view if you are the type of traveler who stays in the cabin. The set of drawers in the closet kept falling out and getting stuck. One issue that may be of concern for some folks, this cabin is above The Spotlight Lounge. If there was music playing you could hear the bass beat. It was not very loud but definitely noticeable. They did the Captain's cocktail parties there, also karaoke, the Quest, as well as a number of other activities. We attended many of those functions and are not early to bed people so it was not too big of an issue for us. If you go to bed early this may not be a good cabin for you. This cabin is all the way Aft, anytime you wanted to go anywhere you had to go mid ship to grab stairs or the elevators. There are no aft stairs or elevators on this ship. Also annoying but not a trip spoiler.
