Lovely island.  Short easy walk from ship (pier) to town. Once in town streets narrow and whindy with some gradients.  Offers plenty of shade. Take it easy and browse many shops on way to the windmills. On arriving nice views back across harbour and good bars/rest locted there. Plenty of local reps for trips round island. Prices in shops of for items more pricey than other stops.

Mykonos

Short walk from pier to town. Watch the local traffic as come from most angles. People very friendly (sometime over for business). Tip is not to go to the bazaar/markets too early and wait for other fellow shipmates to start shopping. We made mistake by gong into town at 8.45 and there were swarms of local shopkeepers that impossible to browse. Wait till 11am and big difference. At this time of year hagle and barter and can get as much as three quarters off as coming to end of season. Lovely port and locals.

Kusadasi

Efficient as have to take courtesy bus from ship to terminal. Not much in port area so trip required with ship as not so many locals there as other ports. If want to go into Athens on own then turn left out of port and 10-15 minute walk round the port to metro where can take into centre Athens for one euro each way. Safe and takes approx 30 mins to near Plaka/Acrop district. Worth the effort and good pavement to the metro and not much crossing roads (busy in the area).  Share a taxi back from town otherwise metro back. Don't rely on the local buses as drivers take breaks at most opportunities. Port is 2 but Athens we give a 5.

Athens (Piraeus)

10 minute tender to port.  Go early to miss the long queue's for the lift from the harbour to town. No shade for the queue's and have to negotiate several steps both at bottom and at top station. If handicaped can cause a problem as local lift operators not very helpfull. When up in town watch out for donkey/mule muck in the narrow streets and if any approach you in a convoy then stand well back !!!!!! Lovely island again and plenty of local reps for trips.

Santorini

5 to 10 minute walk from pier into old town area.  Plenty shops and restaurants and lovely walks round the quite and flowered back streets. Plenty of local reps for trips round island but note that 10 to 15 walk round to other side of harbour are plenty of boat trips to Lindos rather than by taxi.

Rhodes

We had an outside balcony.

Plenty of space and well designed. Always cleaned thoroughly. Shower area more space than other ships. Bed perfect and aircon efficient. TV information and programs better than other cruise companies and accomodates most languages.  Wardrobe size more than adequate and sound proofing from exterior noises from next door or hallway improved. Whether or not its a British thing but a kettle in the room could be included as bit of a walk to restaurant/drinks area for a brew in your room. Can use room service but brought our own travel kettle as not listed in room inventory.

The ship was outstanding, all the crew (no exceptions) were so helpful and first class and the food...The ship was close to capacity but still felt had plenty of room and good to see that some passengers (mainly Spanish) told clearly not to 'reserve' their beds/chairs by the pool or elsewhere on the decks by clearing off somewhere else and returning later.
