We had a great experience aboard the Destiny. I am 33 and my girlfriend is 28 and this is our first cruise together. I've cruised before as a kid and this was her first. Everything was very clean. Not a dirty bathroom, cabin, public area, dining area, deck area to be had. The ship is aged to be sure. But its really not that noticeable because of the cleanliness. Great service lurking at every corner. Room Stewards: Excellent! Dining Room Waitstaff: Excellent! I felt the drink waiters (people running around the entire ship getting alcoholic drinks for passengers..) were a little pushy, but my girlfriend disagrees... In any case overall we had a great experience, very romantic atmosphere. Not to mention the gorgeous beaches which I'll get to later...

Fantastic Dining experience. The food is first rate in the dining rooms during dinner. There were only two of us but we constantly ordered 3 or 4 appetizers and entrees in order to try everything! The buffet style food for breakfast and lunch everywhere else was good. But believe me the food in the dining rooms are the best, along with the service. We were looking forward to more sushi but there is only a tiny sushi bar in the casino that is open from 5-8 every day but embarkation day AND formal night. So don't expect much sushi... Only negative here is that of room service food. VERY limited. We ordered it late one night and the menu is VERY basic: hot or cold sandwiches, a few salads, not much in the way of desserts. However what's available for breakfast while limited is still a little better. Don't have high hopes for room service food...

WiFI: One of the few negatives: We planned on turning OFF our cell phones for the entire trip, (which we did..) as to not incur international data charges by Verizon. Our idea was that if anyone needed to get a hold of us we'd use the ships wifi and check email on our iPad. Well the WiFi ISN'T FREE! We had to sign up for a .75 / minute wifi charge on the ship which we felt was frustrating and a little ridiculous. Plus the wifi was only available in public areas, not in our room.

Cabin Review

Cabin 6A

Room 1266, Oceanview. Riviera deck. Lowest passenger deck on the ship. 2 medium hanging closet, 3 drawers of drawer space, lots of cabinet space. Good amount of storage! Beautiful deep oceanview window you could sit in! Small bathroom that worked fine for 2 of us!
