Norwegian Gem Cruise Review by BARTMAN1252
- Sail Date: September 2011
- Destination: Bermuda
- Cabin Type: Mid-Ship Balcony
The first night we ate in the Grand Pacific. The food was good but the service was not. However as the week progressed the service got a lot better. Only once during our cruise did we eat in one of the specialty restaurants, the La Cucina. The service was great and the food was very good.
For most of our trip breakfasts and lunches were eaten at the Garden Cafe. The food was good. Only near the end of our trip did we eat at the Blue Lagoon. It has a very limited menu. However, this was a lot more laid back. You did not have to fight the buffet crowd. It you want to get away from the crowd this is a good alternative. Overall, the food was good on most days and great on some days.
For the most part the entertainment was very good. There was always something to do.
Our stateroom was always clean and we very seldom saw our Stewart.
I would recommend the Norwegian Gem if you are looking to cruise.

New York (Manhattan)Embarkation went very smooth. Debarkation was a nightmare. There were two cruise disembarking at the same time. Some the passengers were on a staggered schedule. One group would disembark from one ship and then one group would disembark from the other. We were schedule to get off the ship at 9:30 but we did not get off until 10:30.View All 859 New York (Manhattan) Cruise Port Reviews
