My boyfriend and I left out of NYC on the Norwegian Gem headed to Bermuda on September 25. Everything from embarkation on was excellent. We were nervous because Hurricane Ophelia was supposed to hit Bermuda right when we were scheduled to arrive, but everyone on the ship did a great job of updating us on the weather and possible re-routing options (Florida & Bahamas). This was my second cruise with NCL (first on the Jewel in May of 2010) and my bf's first with NCL. We were not disappointed at all. The at sea days were fun, and there is never a dull moment on the ship. If you want to make the most of your cruise participate in as much as you can! We did the Pub Crawl, Toga Party, White Hot Party, No or No Deal, Texas Hold Em Tourney, and so much more. The shows in the theater each night are definitely worth seeing.

I was a little skeptical about only going to one port but Bermuda was the most beautiful place I have ever been. The weather turned out to be hot and sunny all three days, which made it pleasurable. We took the city bus to Horseshoe Bay Beach (1/2 hr ride, but you have to get tokens in the visitor center by the bus stop BEFORE you leave, the bus doesn't accept money!!) Most beautiful water and scenery I have ever laid eyes on. Their isn't much of a "downtown" with restaurants or bars near the ship so we spent the evenings back on the ship. We also went to to Snorkel Park Beach right near the ship dock but it is TINY and crowded, plus you have to pay $5 pp to enter. It was a nice option though for our last day because we didn't want to venture to far away before we had to board.

Staff on the ship is extremely friendly and go out of their way to help you with anything they can. Food is pretty good, we ate in 3 specialty restaurants and were not disappointed. We will be booking with NCL again!!!!!!!!!
