Geared for the masses

Sail Date: October 2011
Destination: Europe - Western Mediterranean
Embarkation: Barcelona
Beautiful ship and decor, embarkation and disembarking excellent. Everything geared to make a buck (to recover cost of ship no doubt)

Room(balcony) was nice with well thought out storage. Liked the separate shower and lav area.

Food choices were plentiful but with the exception of the Moderno specialty restaurant don't expect any outstanding meals. Your timing better be good to get a seat in the trough area (garden caffe) as the hordes rush in non stop for breakfast consuming enough calories for the entire day in one sitting. Don't expect any lobster or fillet steaks unless you go to the specialty steak house where they use their own supply of premium meat. The freestyle make up of the cruise has its benefits but you lose the attachment you build up when you get the same waiter in more traditional style cruising.

The shore excursions in Italy were great but way over priced, do your homework and you can see all you want on your schedule at a reasonable cost(to More spend almost $600 for two for a day trip is very high)

Found the trip not to be very relaxing and didn't really look forward to dining at night.

The enetertainment was excellent though, best part of the ships offerings. Less
