Sail Date: Oct 2011

Five of the "girls" sailed away on Carnival Valor on October 2, 2011 for seven days. Three of us were in the aft view extended balcony, two had inside staterooms across the hall. This aft balcony is amazing for gazing at the stars, but the room was crowded when the three of us gathered to get dressed etc. The stewards and waiters on the Valor are top notch -- everyone should be so lucky! This five star floating hotel is almost everything you want in a cruise...now let me be picky.

I actually heard someone one morning ask if the eggs are powdered - they are not...but you have to choose the right thing for you. I am the oatmeal / fruit breakfast person so I was never disappointed .Lunch had so many choices it had us walking in circles...but it was all very tasty -- again, whatever makes you happy. Lots of entertainment and great excursions. Pools were crazy crowded, but there were quiet hideaways near the spa. Drinks are offered at every corner...expensive...worth the money however.

Now, let me talk about the casino. Shogun casino is just a fun spot...don't show up thinking you will win --You might break even if you are the lucky one. Slot machines are antiquated and do not pay...international waters do not have the same laws as on land SO BEWARE! Pay outs are at the discretion of the cruise line -- trying to make a buck or two ..
