Just had to vent on the absolutely horrible experiences I just had on the Norwegian Sun. I booked myself and 17 friends in 5 cabins for a "girls getaway cruise". This was my 15th cruise but first with Norwegian. You know what they say, "you never get a second chance to make a first impression." I'm going to have a VERY hard time recommending or booking my clients on Norwegian from now on, will definitely NOT book anyone on the SUN again. The service from the people working on this ship is BEYOND unbelieveably BAD!!

The cruise started bad and got progressively worse over the three days on the ship. Starting with the 2 hour check in process. We arrived at the port just before 1:00 p.m. we were herded into a waiting area with rows of chairs and asked to sit there and wait, they were taking people to check in by the rows. Finally after about 45 -50 minutes our row was called and I thought great we will all be checking in now, NO, we were just called to go stand in another line which we stood in for another hour and fifteen minutes. We finally get on the ship at a little after 3:00 p.m. we ran to our cabins put our stuff down and ran to make the mandatory muster drill at 3:30. We are all starving after the long wait to check in and the muster drill but OH there is NO FOOD! If you want food you have to call ROOM SERVICE and pay a room service delivery fee or wait until the sail away deck party at 4:30 to eat.

Later that night, one of my friends in another cabin came to me and said that their sheets were filthy, there were stains and hairs on them, the shower curtain was moldy and mildewy (the curtain in our cabin was the same way) and that they went to climb into the pull out sofa bed and the whole thing collapsed on them. We both had balcony cabins directly in the front of the ship cabins 1002 & 1202. The hotel director gave them a different room to sleep in that night, someone eventually came to change the sheets on the bed but never changed the shower curtain.
